Baumgart and Chu Finish the Silverado Showdown

NAPA, Calif – The Washington State women's golf team concluded its three-day stay at the Silverado Showdown on Wednesday, April 7, as the Cougars had two golfers collect top-60 finishes.

Junior Amy Chu concluded her tournament by carding 238; +22 to finish in 62nd place on the player leaderboard. Chu rounded out the Silverado Showdown by shooting seven-over par; 79 in the third round.

Redshirt senior Emily Baumgart finished one-stroke behind Chu, as the Walla Walla, Washington native rounded out the Silverado Showdown in a tie for 63rd, finishing the tournament with a score of 239; +23. Baumgart matched Chu's third round score on Wednesday, as the redshirt senior carded seven-over par; 79 in her final 18 holes of play at the Silverado Resort and Spa.

Southern California captured the Silverado Showdown team title, as the Trojans shot two-under par; 862. Oregon State's Ellie Slama brings home the tournament's individual title after she carded eight-under par; 214.

The Washington State women's golf team will be back in action April 23-25 for the 2021 Pac-12 Championships. This year's conference championship tournament will be hosted by Stanford and will take place on the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, California.
