Buffs Add UC Davis To Schedule
BOULDER — The Colorado lacrosse team has added UC Davis to its schedule for Friday, April 9, at 3 p.m. MT, in Davis, Calif., at UC Davis Health Stadium.
The Buffaloes (5-5, 3-3 Pac-12) had room in their schedule this week after the cancelation of their game against Stanford, which had been slated for April 9. That game was canceled due to COVID-19-related issues and contact tracing within the Cardinal program. The Aggies (7-3, 0-0 MPSF) also had a similar issue with their game on April 4 versus Stanford, although at this point in time, it is postponed with the possibility of making the game up at a later date.
With Yolo County moving into the orange "Moderate" tier on March 24, UC Davis athletics was granted permission to allow fans into UC Davis Health Stadium for all remaining home women's lacrosse matches. A limited number of free tickets are available to the general public via the tickets page at UCDavisAggies.com beginning at 10 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 7. Per state guidelines, tickets are available for California residents only and must be redeemed in advance of the game online. All seating is reserved and no tickets will be available at the gate the day of the game.
A full summary of venue protocol, along with the link to the MANDATORY UC Davis Symptom Survey is available at https://ucdavisaggies.com/feature/healthandsafety.
This will be the first time the two former Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rivals have squared off since February 26, 2017, in Boulder. CU and UC Davis played four times as members of the MPSF and the Buffs won all of those meetings.
Colorado will also be in Northern California to play California (2-9, 0-5) on Sunday, April 11. That contest is also scheduled for a 3 p.m. MT start and will be played at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, Calif.
This past weekend the Buffs recorded a pair of wins against Southern California and Arizona State in their final homestand of the season at Kittredge Field in Boulder. CU defeated USC on April 2, 13-11, and on April 4, the Buffs upset ASU 15-11.
