Arizona Finishes 1-1 on Day Two, Coming Away with Victory Over Cal

TEMPE, Ariz. -- In Day two of the Pac-12 North Invitational the Arizona Wildcats (16-4) finished 1-1 against No. 11 Cal and No. 1 UCLA. They finished the tournament 3-1 for the third time this season. 

Against No. 11 Cal the Cats finished 4-1 with three of four pairs clinching it in two sets. Natalie Anselmo and Carly Lowry had the quickest finish going 21-18, 21-11 to earn Arizona their first point. Mady Noble and Dana Parked came up right behind them going 21-14, 21-17 and Olivia Hallaran and Hope Shannon ended the duel with a 21-16, 21-18 finish. 

Against No. 1 UCLA the Cats fell 5-0, with all five courts decided in two sets. Hallaran & Shannon and Blacker & Burling put up a fight against the Bruins, reaching 21-18 and 21-19 on one set, getting the Cats close to advancing to a third. This marks only the fourth loss this season out of 20. The Cats are now sitting at an .800 winning percentage.
