Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Johnnie Blockburger, Fr., ARIZONA (Tucson, Ariz.)

  • Won the 400 at the Jim Click Shootout with a program-record time of 44.71.
  • Performance is No. 2 in the NCAA in 2021 and is a U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifying time.
  • Also was part of the Wildcats’ winning 4x100 (39.68) and 4x400 relays (3:05.86), which are 19th and 13th in the NCAA this season, respectively.
  • Second Men's Track Athlete of the Week award this season (March 25).

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Shae Anderson, R-So., UCLA (Norco, Calif.)

  • Won the 400 hurdles at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational, clocking a lifetime-best time of 56.45 to win her first collegiate appearance in the event.
  • It’s the No. 2 time in the NCAA this season and eighth in program history in the event.
  • Also ran a lifetime-best 11.50 to win the 100, her first appearance in the event in more than three years.
  • Second Women's Track Athlete of the Week award this season (March 31).

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: Turner Washington, R-Jr., ARIZONA STATE (Tucson, Ariz.)

  • Won the discus at the Jim Click Shootout with a third attempt of 211-10 (64.57), besting his previous school record by 13 inches.
  • Throw leads all collegians by six feet this season and is sixth in Pac-12 history.
  • Second Men's Field Athlete of the Week award this season (March 25).

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Samantha Noennig, Jr., ARIZONA (Hartford, Wis.)

  • Threw 59-6 ¼ (18.14) to win the shot put at the Jim Click Shootout.
  • The fourth-best mark in school history also tops all NCAA competitors this season.
  • Finished second in the discus with a mark of 174-5 (53.18).
