Cal Starts Three-Game Road Trip Friday At USC

ONE LOVE FOUNDATION GAMES
— Cal is dedicating Friday's game at USC to the One Love Foundation and its mission to educate young people about healthy and unhealthy relationships, empower them to identify and avoid abuse and learn how to love better, prevent relationship violence, and strive to promote a positive environment filled with healthy and accepting relationships
— The One Love Foundation is a nonprofit organization created in honor of Yeardley Love, a young woman and member of the Virginia women's lacrosse team who tragically lost her life in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend at the age of 22  
— Cal will wear a One Love Foundation t-shirt and also be outfitted in One Love-themed accessories against the Trojans
— Cal and Colorado also dedicated their game in Berkeley last Sunday to the One Love Foundation

— In addition to dedicating the games against Colorado and USC to the One Love Foundation, Cal has done game dedications this year for social justice, the HEADstrong Foundation and Bears United      
      
CAL-USC HISTORY

— Cal is 1-11 all-time against USC and the Trojans have won the last 11 meetings between the teams after Cal was a 10-7 winner the first time the clubs met on April 12, 2013, in Los Angeles
— USC won the first meeting between the teams this season, 18-10, in Berkeley on April 12, 2021, scoring the first five goals of the game and never leading by fewer than four the remainder of the contest      

RECENT ACTION: LAST FOUR LOSSES HAVE BEEN BY A COMBINED SIX GOALS
— Cal has dropped its last four games since its most recent win March 28 against Fresno State by a combined total of six goals starting with a pair of non-conference road games at UC Davis (12-10) and San Diego State (11-10) on April 2 and 4 before 9-8 and 12-10 Pac-12 home losses to Oregon and Colorado this past Friday and Sunday
— Cal has launched strong comebacks in each of its last three games trailing San Diego State by as many as four goals before scoring four unanswered goals in the second half to tie the game at 9-9, falling behind 9-3 to Oregon before scoring the game's final five goals but coming up empty on their final three possessions, and falling behind four times against Colorado but coming back to take the lead once while tying the game on two other occasions before the clock ran out on the fourth comeback try     

LAWLISS AND MORSE PROVIDING OFFENSIVE PUNCH
— Maya Lawliss has 11 goals (4 at San Diego State; 4 vs. Colorado; 3 vs. Oregon) and one assist for 12 points over the past three games after recently moving from midfield to attack 
— Amanda Morse has eight goals in her last four games including hat tricks at UC Davis and vs. Colorado  

WINNING THE DRAW CONTROL GAME
— Cal has a 176-148 advantage over its opponents in draw controls this season and has won the draw control battle in nine of its first 13 contests vs. San Diego State (14-12), at Fresno State (17-11), vs. Arizona State (20-14), at Oregon (13-12), at Colorado (11-10), vs. Fresno State (16-6), at San DIego State (15-8), vs. Oregon (13-6) and vs. Colorado (15-9) 

CAMPAGNA RANKED AMONG PAC-12 LEADERS
— LizaBanks Campagna leads the Pac-12 in caused turnovers (24) while she is tied for second in ground balls (35) and third in draw controls (65)

— Cal continues a three-game road trip at Arizona State on Sunday (1 pm MST/PDT) before playing its final regular-season road contest of 2021 at UC Davis on Thursday, April 22 (5 pm PST)
— Cal will host Stanford for Senior Day in its regular-season finale at California Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 24 (Noon PST)
— The Pac-12 Championship will be hosted by Stanford May 5-8 with tournament seedings and first-round matchups still to be determined
