Cats Close Out Regular Season in Phoenix
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Hitting the course for the final time before the Pac-12 Championships in Santa Rosa, California, No. 20 Arizona Men's Golf will face a competitive field of teams at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational. The Wildcats will tee off on Friday, April 16 at Papago Golf Course against a mixture of Pac-12 opponents and nationally ranked programs.
"We are looking forward to returning to action this week," said head coach Jim Anderson. "Our team has been working hard, and this tournament provides us with a great opportunity. We are in a familiar environment, playing against great teams hosted by our rival, and prepared for a post season charge. It will be one shot at a time, and we expect to play well in our home state."
Arizona has taken advantage of desert golf courses this season with top-5 finishes in a couple of tournaments, which include team and individual wins at the Arizona Intercollegiate and The Prestige in Palm Springs in February.
The Cats return to the ASU Thunderbird Invitational for the first time since 2018 where the posted a top-five finish.
