Trinity Baptiste Drafted by the Indiana Fever

TUCSON, Ariz. – Trinity Baptiste was the 24th pick of the WNBA Draft on Thursday as the Indiana Fever drafted the forward in the final pick of the second round.
 
With Aari McDonald being drafted third overall, this marks the first time Arizona had two players drafted in the first two rounds. It is also the first time since 2002 that two Wildcats were drafted (LaKeisha Taylor & Elizabeth Pickney).
 
Baptiste was nothing but solid all season long for Arizona, averaging 8.6 points and a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 44% from the field, 35% from three and 84% from the line.
 
She upped her game in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 9.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and had a double-double vs. Indiana in the Sweet 16. She also scored a season-high 18 points vs. Stony Brook in the First Round.
 
The Indiana Fever begin their season on May 14 on the road vs. the New York Liberty and Training Camp begins on April 25.
