Beach Volleyball Falls to #9 Arizona and #20 ASU

BOISE, Idaho- The Utah Beach Volleyball team fell to No. 9 Arizona and No. 20 Arizona State on the first day of competition at the Boise State Beach Classic, falling to both 5-0.
 
Utah started off the day against Arizona, where Keana Smalls and Olivia Teerlink were able to come close in their second set with a tough loss of 21-17. Mia Kowalczyk and Joana Saucedo Mondragon also had two close matches on the fourth court losing 21-13 and 21-15.
 
Later in the afternoon, Utah faced Arizona State with another tough loss. They were led by Grace Andrews and Marissa Koch who, lost two close sets 21-19 and 21-18.
 
Utah will face Boise State tomorrow on their home court at 2:00 pm MT.
