Sienkiewicz's Career Weekend Highlights Trip to ASU

Apr 17, 2021

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Sophomore Chase Sienkiewicz finished the best weekend of his career at 10-under for the tournament, which earned him a tie for sixth place on the leaderboard. Sienkiewicz's career low 54-hole score and first ever top-10 finish highlighted his team's ninth place finish out of a field of 17 teams at 16-under par.

"We had a couple guys really lead the way this week in Chase and Brad," said head coach Jim Anderson. "Chase drives the ball as well as anyone in the game and his hard work to refine skills in other areas showed in this event. It is all paying off for him and really helping our team. Brad continues to be playing solid golf, controlling his game and his patience with his putter was rewarded today. We will sharpen up the back end of our lineup because a new season starts next week, the postseason, with PAC-12 Championships."

The career event for Sienkiewicz came after rounds of 67, 69 and 67 for a 54-hole score of 203, which bested his previous career mark by ten strokes. The pair of 67 outings also set a new single round career low for Sienkiewicz, eclipsing his round of 68 he shot earlier this year at The Prestige.

Brad Reeves gave the Wildcats a second top-20 finish by shooting below par in each of his three rounds on his way to a 17th place finish at 6-under par.

The remainder of the Arizona lineup of David Laskin, Trevor Werbylo and Chaz Aurilia finished with scores of even par, 3-over and 5-over respectively.

No. 20 Arizona Men's Golf will begin its postseason at the Pac-12 Championships at Mayacama Gold Club in Santa Rosa, California beginning on Monday, April 26.
