Three Wins in a Row For No. 20 Sand Devils

Apr 17, 2021

BOISE, Idaho – No. 20 Sun Devil Beach Volleyball won its third dual in a row by beating Boise State 4-1 on Saturday, wrapping up the Boise State Beach Classic.

Arizona State (9-9, 3-6 Pac-12) wraps up the weekend with a 3-0 record. The Sun Devils have won five of their last six duals. Senior Cierra Flood is now one away from 50 career wins, increasing her total to 49 after today. Samantha Plaster, another senior, moved into sole possession of fourth place for career individual wins with 56.

The Sand Devils redeemed themselves against the Broncos, beating them in both matchups after falling earlier in the season. One match went to a third set today, ASU coming out on top in that matchup on court four. After the dual was tied at 1-1 following the first two matches on courts two and four, the remaining three courts all went in favor of the Sand Devils, all winning in two sets.
