Oregon State Falls Against No. 2 UCLA

LOS ANGELES - The Oregon State softball team improved from the first two games of the series but were unable to score a run against No. 2 UCLA, Sunday afternoon.
 
The game started with two fast innings as both teams grabbed three straight outs in the first and second. 
 
The Bruins scored their first two runs in the bottom of the third before adding to their lead two innings later for a 5-0 lead at the end of the fifth.
 
Making seven connections in the first four innings, sophomore Frankie Hammoude tallied the first Beaver hit of the day with a single to left field in the top of the fifth.
 
Sophomore Ashton Zeiher opened the sixth with a single up the middle but the Beavers were unable to take advantage of having a runner on base.
 
UCLA added a run in the bottom of the inning with a home run to seal their 6-0 victory.
 
The Beavers will take a weekend off before returning to California for their series against Stanford, which will begin on April 30 at 6 p.m.
