USC hurdler Anna Cockrell was named the Pac-12 women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 12-18, it was announced by the Conference today (April 21).
Cockrell won the women's 100m hurdles at the Beach Invitational in Long Beach on April 17 with a season-best time of 12.84 (+0.9). That time ranks second on the NCAA descending order list this season. The athletic senior already ranks first in the country in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.65.
Cockrell also finished sixth in the women's 400m dash at the Beach Invitational with a time of 53.39. It was her first collegiate open 400m race. Cockrell's time ranks in the top 50 in the country and tied for 11th among Pac-12 runners, with only three non-teammates ranking higher than her.
