No. 1 Washington Men Travel To Face Washington State

The Washington men's rowing team, ranked the No. 1 team in then nation in this week's initial IRCA Coaches' Poll, has added an event to its 2021 schedule. This Saturday, April 24, the Huskies will travel across the state and face Washington State on the Snake River.
 
The Huskies will send their third varsity eight, freshman eight and varsity four to face the Cougars, and then the rowers in the two eights will split up and row again in fours.
 
Here's the full schedule:
 
9:00 a.m. – Varsity Eight (UW 3V8+ vs. WSU V8+)
9:30 a.m. – Second Varsity Eight (UW F8+ vs. WSU 2V8+)
10:15 a.m. – Varsity Four Flight I (UW A, B & C; WSU A & B)
10:45 a.m. – Varsity Four Flight II (UW D & E; WSU C & D)

The Huskies are back in action after having raced last weekend in the Bay Area, where the Huskies swept a total of nine races vs. Stanford and Santa Clara in two separate regattas across the Bay from one another.
 
Next Saturday, May 1, the Huskies will host California (men and women) in the annual Windermere Cup Regatta on Montlake Cut. This year's Windermere Cup will play host to the annual Cal Dual. Details to come on that next week.
