Ducks Face USC in Pac-12 Tournament Opener
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's tennis team will play No. 15 USC in Saturday's quarterfinal round of the Pac-12 Tournament. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. (PT) at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. The Ducks, the tournament's sixth seed, ended the regular season with a 15-5 record.

The winner advances to Sunday's semifinals to play the winner of the Arizona-Utah matchup.
Last Time Out
The Ducks posted a 4-2 victory over No. 24 Stanford (April 16) on Senior Day in Eugene. Oregon dropped the doubles point but responded with four wins during singles play including the match-clinching victory from senior Brandon Lam at the No. 5 spot in the lineup. The result was the Ducks' highest-ranked win since beating No. 27 Dartmouth in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
Charlton Earns Pac-12 Honor
For his role in helping Oregon beat No. 24 Stanford, UO standout Joshua Charlton was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week (April 20). Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles to improve to 8-2 this season. In singles, Charlton recorded a three-set win over No. 36 Arthur Fery for his first ranked win of the year. Charlton ended the regular season with a 12-5 record in singles play.
Jesper Klöv-Nilsson enters the postseason with a team-high 15 wins in singles play. He is one of five UO players in double figures along with Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele at 12 wins each followed by Brandon Lam and Emmanuel Coste with 11 and 10 wins, respectively. In doubles play, Coste and Klöv-Nilsson is 12-6 this season while Charlton and Vandecasteele—the No. 42 team in the country—are 8-2.
History at the Pac-12 Tournament
Oregon and USC have never played in the Pac-12 Tournament. The Ducks own a 5-8 overall record in Pac-12 Tournament matches. The conference transitioned to the team tournament format in 2012. Oregon has advanced to the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals twice (2014, 2018).
USC (17-6) is ranked 15th in the latest ITA computer rankings. The Trojans are led by a trio of top-100 players in No. 36 Riley Smith, No. 40 Daniel Cukierman and No. 82 Stefan Dostanic. In doubles, Smith and Cukierman are ranked 14th in the nation. The teams met earlier this year in Los Angeles, a 5-2 win for USC (April 3).
