STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's golf freshman Rachel Heck became the second conference champion in program history with her historic win on Sunday at the Pac-12 Championships. Heck, who shot a 2-under 69 on the day, finished with a 7-under 206 to win the tournament. She became the first Cardinal since Mhairi McKay in 1997 to win a conference crown.

The Cardinal charged up the leaderboard on Sunday, behind Heck and sophomore Angelina Ye's 4-under 67. Starting the day in third, Stanford moved up to second to finish with a 2-over 854. It marked Stanford's best finish at the conference championships since winning in 2014, and just the program's second, top-two finish since 2001.

Heck fired rounds in the 60s all three days to earn her third victory of the season. She now has six such straight rounds, and has scored in the 60s in nine of her 17 collegiate rounds to date. Her scoring average on the year is 70.29. Heck's three career wins are tied with Stephanie Keever (1998-2001) for fifth-most all-time in program history.

After the final round on Sunday, the Pac-12 Conference announced the 2021 All-Conference Team, with Heck and Ye both earning spots.

More to come.
