No. 19 Arizona Loses to No. 15 USC in Semis

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The No. 19 Wildcats fell to the No. 15 Trojans in the semifinals of the Pac-12 tournament with 4-1 final score.

The reigning national champions secured the crucial doubles point to start the match. Building momentum, four Cats won their first sets before USC came roaring back in the second. Carlos Hassey took care of business on court six with a straight set victory. No. 76 Jonas Ziverts was poised to give Arizona its second point before the match was clinched. Herman Hoyeraal pushed the match to a third set after dropping the first in a close tiebreaker.

Arizona will play another match on Monday, Apr. 26 at Noon MST against Stanford to decide third place.
