SAN FRANCISCO – The No. 1-ranked USC beach volleyball team (23-3) received the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Pac-12 Championship and will face either eighth-seeded Oregon (7-9) or ninth-seeded Utah (3-21) in its first match on Thursday, April 29, at 3 p.m. PT.
The full bracket was revealed and announced on Monday, April 26, by the Pac-12 Conference. The double-elimination tournament will be hosted by No. 2-ranked and second-seeded UCLA (24-3) this weekend (April 29-May 1) at Mapes Beach with all duals scheduled for broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Trojans and Bruins lead a group of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the most recent AVCA Coaches Poll. No. 9 Arizona (21-4), No. 10 California (14-11), No. 11 Stanford (20-9), and No. 20 Arizona State (9-10) are seeded third through sixth, respectively.
The Women of Troy won three of the four first Pac-12 titles (2016, 2017, 2019). UCLA won the other in 2018. The Trojans (2016, 2017) and Bruins (2018, 2019) have gone on to split the four NCAA championships.
Per local health and safety regulations, fans will not be permitted at the 2021 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship.
