USC claims top seed for 2021 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship

SAN FRANCISCO - The bracket for the 2021 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship is set with defending champion and No. 1 nationally ranked USC (23-2) earning the event’s No. 1 seed. The double-elimination tournament will be hosted by No. 2 nationally ranked and second-seeded UCLA (24-3) from April 29-May 1 at Mapes Beach.

The Trojans and Bruins lead a group of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the most recent AVCA poll. No. 9 nationally ranked ARIZONA (21-4), No. 10 CALIFORNIA (14-11), No. 11 STANFORD (20-9) and No. 20 ARIZONA STATE (9-10) are seeded third through sixth, respectively.

USC has won 3-of-4 prior Pac-12 titles (2016, 2017, 2019), with UCLA claiming the other in 2018. The Trojans (2016, 2017) and Bruins (2018, 2019) have gone on to split the four NCAA national titles.
