Felton Taken on Day Three of NFL Draft

May 1, 2021

Demetric Felton Jr. joined the 2021 UCLA NFL Draft Class as presented by @theParkingSpot after being selected on Saturday afternoon by the Cleveland Browns with the 27th pick of the sixth round, the 211th overall choice in the NFL Draft.

Felton saw action in 42 games at UCLA and made 17 career starts (10 at receiver and 7 at running back). He would up his Bruin career with 99 career receptions, over 1,000 yards rushing (1,101), 16 touchdowns and 611 kickoff return yards.

This past season, Felton topped the Pac-12 Conference and ranked sixth in the nation in all-purpose yards (165.83). He rated fourth in the league and 14th nationally in rushing yards per game (111.13). Felton racked up a season-best 206 yards rushing in a win over Arizona and posted additional 100-yard games against Cal (107) and at Oregon (167). He ranked third on the team in receiving with 22 catches. Felton was a first (AP all-purpose player) or second-team all-conference selection at running back (1st-PFF; 2nd-AP, Coaches, Phil Steele) and/or all-purpose player.

In 2019, Felton set a UCLA record for running backs with 55 receptions on the season, a total which ranked tied for second in the nation among backs. He also established a school record with four scoring plays of at least 75 yards in length on the season --- 75-yard reception at Cincinnati, 94-yard reception at Washington State, 100-yard kickoff return at Washington State, 75-yard run vs. Oregon State.

Felton joins defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa, who was a third-round pick by Dallas on Friday, in this UCLA draft class. Odighizuwa is the seventh Bruin defensive lineman selected in the last nine NFL drafts, with each being selected in the first four rounds.
