TUCSON – Utah baseball team dropped the final game of the series against Arizona 15-3 at Hi Corbett Field on Sunday.
Utah got off to a great start taking a lead in the second inning going up 1-0. After drawing a walk and then a single, Shea Kramer hit a single up the middle to score Christopher Rowan, Jr. from second base for the early lead.
Arizona's offense was too much to handle on this Sunday though as they scored runs in six of the eight frames they batted and totaled 16 hits on the afternoon.
Utah added runs in the fourth and seventh inning as well.
The Utes totaled seven hits and had seven walks on the afternoon. Kramer led the way going 2-4 and had one RBI. David Watson got the start for Utah and they used five other pitchers on the mound. Watson took the loss allowing five runs in 3.2 innings pitched.
Utah will now host Northern Colorado in a three-game series starting Saturday, May 8 at Lindquist Field in Ogden, Utah.
