TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 18 Arizona is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year to face No. 10 Michigan in the first round.
The Wildcats compiled a 19-7 record during the spring to punch their ticket to the tournament after reaching the semifinals in the Pac-12 Tournament. Arizona took down five ranked teams on the season for a 5-5 ranked record. No. 42 Gustaf Strom leads the team in singles wins with 17 which is tied for second-most in the Pac-12. Carlos Hassey leads the team in doubles wins with 14 on the season, which is tied for the fourth-most doubles wins in a single spring season in program history.
Their opponent, Michigan, is 15-4 on the season with impressive wins over teams like No. 7 Ohio State. The last time these teams met was 1997 with Arizona currently holding a 4-1 record against the Wolverines.
Arizona has beaten eight of the conference winners entering this tournament including: GCU, NAU, No. 15 USC, New Mexico, VCU, Liberty, No. 24 Pepperdine and UCSB.

Alejandro Reguant enters the postseason being one win away from tying the program's all-time overall wins leader, Roger Matalonga. Strom is currently tied for seventh in spring singles wins in a single season and is currently two wins from tying Filip Malbasic and Andres Carrasco for the program record.
