USC Women’s Tennis Punches Ticket to NCAA Tournament

The USC women's tennis team has secured placement in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. In their 37thappearance in the NCAA Tournament, the Women of Troy will travel to Gainesville, Fla. for the First and Second Rounds. USC will challenge Oklahoma in the First Round of the Tournament on Friday (May 7). 
 
In her fourth season as the USC women's tennis head coach, Alison Swain has now taken her squad to two NCAA Tournaments, with the last being in 2019 (the 2020 women's tennis season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic). In their pursuit of the team's seventh national title, the Women of Troy are led by No. 53 ranked junior Salma Ewing and No. 109 sophomore Eryn Cayetano, and hold an 11-10 season record. 
 
USC women's tennis will travel to Gainesville, Fla. to participate in the First and Second Rounds hosted by No. 11 seed Florida on May 7-8. The Round of 16 and beyond of the Team Tournament will take place at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla from May 16-22.
 
In the individual action, the Women of Troy await the NCAA selection which will take place tomorrow (May 4). The doubles tournament consists of a 32-team draw and the singles tournament is made up of a field of 64 players, all of which compete in Orlando, Fla. from May 23-28.
