Gustaf Strom Selected for NCAA Singles Championship

TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 42 Gustaf Strom will be representing the Arizona Wildcats in the NCAA Singles Championship.

In his first year as a Wildcat, Strom has dominated the singles court to earn a 17-2 record which leads the team. Five of those victories came against ranked opponents, including beating players as high as No. 14 in the ITA Rankings.

To add to an already impressive season, Strom is tied for seventh in program history for singles wins in a spring season. He is currently two wins behind Filip Malbasic and Adndres Carrasco who are tied for the lead. 

This will mark the second straight season a Wildcat has been selected to the NCAA Singles Championship. No. 88 Jonas Ziverts was selected his freshman year to be the first Wildcats since Roger Matalonga in 2006 to compete in the tournament.
