May 5, 2021

San Francisco, Calif. – Alyssa Wilson has been named Pac-12 Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the Conference office announced Wednesday. It's the second weekly honor of the season for Wilson.

Wilson picked up victories in the hammer, shot put, and discus in the Bruins' dual meet against USC on Sunday, May 2. She posted a season-best mark of 69.94m (229-05) in the hammer, good for the second-best collegiate toss in the nation. She also earned the Olympic Trials standard with the performance. Her marks of 17.74m (58-02.50) and 54.17m (177-9) in the shot put and discus, respectively, were both season-best tosses, as well. It was the third time this season Wilson had swept the hammer, shot, and discus competitions.

This is the second Pac-12 weekly honor of the season for the Jackson, N.J., native. She earned Field Athlete of the Week honors on March 31 after securing six victories across a pair of meets in her first week of outdoor competition.
