Boley, Giomi Named Academic All-District

May 6, 2021

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon women's basketball seniors Erin Boley and Lydia Giomi have earned spots on the 2020-21 Academic All-District 8 Team for their work in the classroom, CoSIDA announced on Thursday.

As first-team Academic All-District honorees, Boley and Giomi now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America winners will be announced in late May.

An all-Pac-12 honorable mention selection as a senior, Boley averaged 10.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 2020-21 while leading Oregon to a fourth straight Sweet Sixteen appearance. She leaves Eugene with 1,025 points in a Duck uniform, and is fourth in program history in both three-pointers made (219) and three-point percentage (.429). Boley will graduate this spring with a degree in product design.

Giomi was a leader for the Ducks in her final season while also pursuing a master's in education, navigating the rigors of being a student-athlete while also teaching a third-grade class over Zoom during a pandemic. On the court, Giomi appeared in all 24 games for the Ducks and recorded the first two double-doubles of her career. She played in 118 total games for the Ducks since arriving in 2016.

Together, Boley and Giomi have helped the Ducks to three Pac-12 regular-season championships and two conference tournament titles, as well as the first Final Four appearance in program history in 2019.
