The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Brown was one of six student-athletes to earn a spot on the All-District 8 First Team, joining a pair of Stanford players and one representative from Gonzaga, Fresno State and Dixie State.

Brown boasts a 3.57 GPA and has not yet declared an academic major. In 28 games played as a sophomore in the 2020-21 season, Brown averaged career highs in 5.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists across 26.1 minutes per game. He ranked sixth among all Pac-12 players with 39 steals, tallying two or more in 11 contests. The Brampton, Ontario, native has started 38 of his 60 career games played through two seasons in Bear Territory.

As an Academic All-District First Team selection, Brown will automatically be placed on the Academic All-America ballots. First, second and third team (when selected) Academic All-America selection will be announced May 28.
