BERKELEY – California men's soccer forward Alonzo Del Mundo earned another postseason honor when the forward was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region second team.
The is the first United Soccer Coaches honor of the Golden Bear's career.
"Alonzo improved tremendously as the season progressed," Cal head coach Kevin Grimes said. "He became his normal self and was creating quality scoring chances for us during our team's great run at the end of the season that gave us a chance to make the NCAA playoffs."
A redshirt junior from Richmond, California, Del Mundo also collected All-Pac-12 honorable mention in April for his play in the 2021 spring regular season.
A starter in all 10 Cal games this season, Del Mundo scored a goal in an April 3 game against No. 7 Washington in Seattle and posted an assist in the season finale at UCLA on April 17.
