The Washington State University Track and Field program was in action at both the West Coast Relays and the Buc Scoring Invite Friday afternoon.

Charisma Taylor continued to dominate this outdoor season as she set the WSU outdoor record in the triple jump with a mark of 44-feet 2 3/4 inches (13.48m). Taylor's jump also set the meet and stadium record at the West Coast Relays as well. Neema Kimtai posted an impressive run in the 1500-meter with a time of 4:20.69. The personal best of Kimtai sets the Washington State outdoor freshman record in the event and ranks her seventh all-time in Cougar history as well. Amy Kraemer broke into the all-time top 10 in WSU history in the hammer throw as she posted a mark of 176-feet 11 inches (53.94m) to be ranked 10th overall. Aislinn Overby jumped her way into the WSU all-time list in the high jump with a mark of 5-feet 11 1/4 inches (1.81m) to be ranked ninth overall. Lauren Newman posted a personal best in the long jump at 19-feet 10 3/4 inches (6.06m) to be ranked 10th overall in Cougar Track & Field history.

Paul Ryan led the way in the 1500-meter Invite at the West Coast Relays with a personal best of 3:37.73. Ryan now ranks second overall in Washington State history and is currently number eight in the nation in the event as well. Within that same race during the night fellow Coug Zach Stallings finished at 3:39.44 overall and now ranks sixth in Cougar history in the event as well. John Kolb made his way into the WSU all-time list in the discus, as he posted a throw of 193-feet 6 inches (58.98m) to be ranked sixth overall. Colton Johnsen took home first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase invitational, setting a stadium record of 8:42.80 overall.
