OGDEN – The Utah baseball team dropped the second game of the series to the No. 9 Oregon Ducks 16-3 on Saturday at Lindquist Field.
Oregon jumped on Utah early scoring five runs in the third and fifth inning to go up 13-0.
Matt Richardson went 3-3 to lead Utah in hits. Christopher Rowan, Jr. went 1-2 notching his seventh home run of the season. It was a two-run home run in the seventh. Rowan also had two walks in the game.
Kyle Robeniol got the start and took the loss. Utah's record falls to 14-28 on the season and 5-18 in Pac-12 play.
Utah and Oregon will finish their series on Sunday with an 11 a.m. first pitch. David Watson will take the mound for the Utes.
