Bruins Earn No. 2 Seed, Will Host Regionals at Easton Stadium

LOS ANGELES - UCLA, the defending National Champions and 2021 Pac-12 Champions, earned the No. 2 national seed for the NCAA Tournament and will host Regionals this upcoming weekend at Easton Stadium.

The first matchup for the Bruins will be on Friday, May 21 against Long Beach State at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Friday's first contest will feature Minnesota and Fresno State at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.

Tickets will not be available to the general public for the Los Angeles Regional. A limited number of team guests are permitted at UCLA outdoor sporting events. Non-ticketed guests should not come to Easton Stadium.

All games will be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks.

The Bruins concluded the regular season with a 41-4 overall record and a 19-2 mark in Pac-12 play. UCLA just faced Long Beach State on May 5 in a road doubleheader, winning both games by a score of 5-1 and 10-2 in five innings. The Bruins hold a 76-10 all-time advantage over The Beach, a 32-1 edge at Easton Stadium and a 9-0 record in the NCAA Tournament. Long Beach State (30-9) won the Big West Conference's automatic bid with a 22-2 league record. 

Minnesota (29-11) earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament, only playing Big Ten Conference competition this season. The Bruins are 8-0 all-time against the Golden Gophers, including a 4-0 victory at Easton Stadium in the penultimate game of the COVID-shortened 2020 season and a 7-2 triumph in the opening game of the 2019 Women's College World Series, one of two postseason wins against Minnesota. Fresno State (36-10) won the Mountain West Conference's automatic bid with a 20-4 league mark. The Bruins opened the 2021 season versus the Bulldogs, recording a 7-0 victory on Feb. 12 to improve to 48-11 all-time against Fresno State. UCLA is 15-1 at home against FSU and 13-3 in the NCAA Tournament.
