Women's Rowing Finishes Sixth at Pac-12 Championships

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The UCLA women's rowing program registered a sixth-place team finish at the Pac-12 Championships on Lake Natoma on Sunday morning.
 
The Bruins' second varsity eight finished fourth in its late-morning race, marking UCLA's best finish in four races at Sunday's league championship event. UCLA's 2V8+ crew posted a time of 6:56.757, crossing the finish line behind Washington, Stanford and California, respectively. UCLA finished ahead of Washington State, Oregon State and USC, respectively.
 
UCLA's varsity eight and varsity four crews each finished in sixth, out of seven boats. The Bruins' third varsity eight registered a fifth-place finish.

The Bruins' varsity eight crew recorded a final time of 7:02.117, finishing ahead of USC (7:07.663). Washington won the V8+ race, while Stanford finished in second place and California, in third place.
 
Washington won the 2021 women's rowing league title, compiling a team point score of 44.5. The remaining six finishers included (in order, by points) Stanford, California, Oregon State, Washington State, UCLA and USC.
