Bears Set For IRA National Championship

The Cal men's rowing team is one of 31 crews that will take part in next week's 2021 IRA National Championship on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.
The Bears will be eyeing their 18th IRA national championship and first since 2016. The event was canceled last season due to COVID-19.
The tournament was shortened from a three-day event to just two days this year because of COVID-19. Racing begins with time trials on the morning of Friday, May 28. In most years, the semifinals would take place the next day, but this year they will be held Friday afternoon. The finals are scheduled for Saturday, May 29.
No spectators will be allowed at the tournament, but every race will be broadcast live on YouTube.
