Kelsey Webster Joins Women’s Golf Program

May 19, 2021

CORVALLIS, Ore. Kelsey Webster will join the Oregon State women's golf program beginning with the 2021-22 season, head coach Dawn Shockley announced Wednesday.

Webster, a native of Boulder, Colo., played the last three seasons at the University of Colorado. She was named an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) and selected to the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll following her sophomore campaign in 2020.

"I chose Oregon State because I have always connected with the coaching staff and enjoyed the atmosphere that the program has," Webster said. "The environment in Corvallis is absolutely stunning and I am so excited to get to experience it."

While at Colorado, Webster competed in 11 tournaments and had a scoring average of 77.78. Her best score was a 1-under 71 at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational as a junior.

She finished second at the 2020 Colorado National Women's Amateur with a 2-under 142.

Webster attended Fairview High School in Boulder and was a two-sport letterwinner in golf and basketball. She was the Front Range League golf champion her junior and senior years.

"We're excited to have Kelsey join the team this fall," Shockley said. "We actually recruited her as a junior, so when she reached out about transferring, we jumped at the chance. We think she'll grow tremendously as a player in our program, and we can't wait to see her in the orange and black."
