May 19, 2021

CLE ELUM, Wash. – Oregon saw its season come to an end after finishing in 10th place at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional following a 17 over final round on Wednesday at the Tumble Creek Club. Tom Gueant led the way individually for the Ducks, coming in tied for 11th at 1 under after shooting a 1-over 72 to close.

"Tough final two days," said head coach Casey Martin. "I really felt like we were going to play well, but the course and conditions were a bit too much. I am disappointed with the outcome, but also excited for these guys and the future."

How It Happened: Gueant struggled on his opening nine, making just one birdie to go along with three bogeys and a triple to do out with a 5-over 41. He turned in a flawless back nine, going bogey free with four birdies to shoot a 4-under 31 coming home. Gueant's back nine was highlighted by a stretch of three straight birdies from holes 14 through 16.
