Wildcats' Season Comes to An End in Cle Elum

CLE ELUM, Wash. – Despite a blistering hot start to its third and final round of the NCAA Cle Elum Regional, No. 20 Arizona Men's Golf season came to end with a ninth-place finish at 22-over par. The Wildcats opened the round shooting five strokes under par through the first six holes and reached sixth place on the leaderboards before sliding back to finish the third round with a score of 9-over par.

Senior Trevor Werbylo flipped the script on his play for the final round as he sank six birdies on Wednesday and carded a third-round score of 3-under par. His ten-stroke improvement from the day before propelled him to the fourth-lowest round of the day.

Brad Reeves led the Wildcats for the tournament, finishing in a tie for 22nd place at 4-over par. Fellow senior David Laskin, posted Arizona's second best score at 7-over par for a top-40 finish.

Arizona finished four spots below the qualifying line for the NCAA Championships but were able to finish ahead of five teams.
