SAN FRANCISCO – Colorado women's tennis were honored with two All-Pac-12 Honorable Mentions, Megan Forster and Maria Campos, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.
Forster led the team with a 12-5 record in singles play that included a 7-1 mark in the No.4 and No.5 positions. She also picked up five wins in doubles and the lone with against a ranked opponent this season.
Campos became the first player in CU history to play and win in every singles position in a season. The freshman went 11-8 in singles play as she climbed the ranks all season long from the No.6 singles player to the No.1 in the win against Utah. She added eight doubles wins for the Buffs.
The Buffs finished the season tying the program-best mark with three conference wins. They also defeated No.12 Cal at home, the highest-ranked conference win in program history.
Cal's head coach Amanda Augustus was named the coach of the year while UCLA swept the singles and doubles awards with Abbey Forbes as the player of the year while joining Jada Hart for the doubles team of the year. Oregon's Janice Tjen was named the freshman of the year.
