Alyaa Abdulghany, in her final outing as a Trojan, carded a 3-over 75 and finished tied for 36th after the fourth round of the 2021 NCAA Championships on Monday (May 24) at the Grayhawk G.C. in Scottsdale, Ariz.
A day after USC was eliminated from the team competition, Abdulghany stayed alive after a third-round 3-under 69, one of nine individuals who played in the final round.
She opened with a pair of birdies today on 2 and 4 before a double on 6 evened her round ahead of turning at par.
Abdulghany went to 3-over before her final birdie on 17. She missed par by inches on 18, her final putt for USC a tap-in bogey.
Abdulghany's NCAA resume is completed with a pair of top 29 finishes to go with today's result as well as a 3-0 match play record from her freshman and sophomore seasons. She tied for 27th as a freshman and won both her match play rounds and tied for 29th as a sophomore, winning a quarterfinal match.
Arguably USC's most consistent player during her four years at Troy, she wraps her Trojan career with a 72.91 stroke average, 14th best in school history, after a 72.64 stroke average as a senior. Yesterday's 69 was her ninth round in the 60s of her career.
