Amanda and Djeffal Make Top Drawer Soccer Best XI’s
CORVALLIS – Oregon State standouts Gloire Amanda and Sofiane Djeffal have both been named to Top Drawer Soccer Best XI Teams, the site announced Tuesday.
Amanda was tabbed to the First Team Best XI, while Djeffal made the Best XI Third Team.
Amanda earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors and is a Finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy. The forward led the nation in both points and goals, with 37 and 15, respectively. He set the Oregon State record for points in a season, and ended his junior campaign tied with Alan Gordon for second on the Beavers' single-season goals list. He is sixth in program history with 25 career goals. Amanda is a three-time Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honoree, and was named National Player of the Week on Feb. 16.
Djeffal is a three-time All-Pac-12 First Team selection, and was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2018. The midfielder tallied six goals and two assists this season, despite missing three matches due to injury. Djeffal currently has 15 career assists, tying him for fifth in Oregon State history.
As a team, Oregon State finished the year 9-5 and made the NCAA Tournament for the second time in the last three years. The Beavers are ranked No. 19 in the postseason Top Drawer Soccer rankings.
