SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah baseball team is allowing free admission to all three games of its final series of the season against USC at Lindquist Field in Ogden, Utah.
It will be a big weekend for the Utes as they will celebrate 11 seniors on Friday before the game and then will honor head coach Bill Kinneberg on Saturday in his final game before retirement.
The game times are 6 p.m. on Thursday, 6 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The 11 Utah student-athletes being honored for senior day are Brayson Hurdsman, Brett Brocoff, Riley Pierce, Kyle Robeniol, Ian MacIver, Shea Kramer, Christopher Rowan, Jr., Vinny Zavolta, Chase Fernlund, Rykker Tom and Jaylon McLaughlin. The ceremony will happen before the game where first pitch is 6 p.m.
On Monday, Kinneberg announced his retirement after 18 seasons as the head coach at Utah and 37 years overall as a coach.
The 2016 Pac-12 Coach of the Year after leading the Utes to the Pac-12 championship, Kinneberg has won 381 games at Utah and 625 total in his career. He has led Utah to two NCAA Tournament appearances, in 2009 and 2016. The 2009 Utes won the Mountain West tournament championship and earned Utah's first invitation to the NCAA Tournament since 1960. Competing in the Fullerton Regional, the Utes won two games, defeating Gonzaga and Georgia Southern.
The series this weekend will be the final three games for Utah of the 2021 season.
