Beavers In The Postseason
Oregon State has advanced to an NCAA Regional for the 20th time in the program's history. The Beavers are the No. 2 seed at the Fort Worth Regional, and will be taking on No. 3 Dallas Baptist in their first game. Other teams at the regional include host TCU and the No. 4 seed McNeese.

2021 Season
Oregon State enters the postseason with a 34-22 record, including a 16-14 mark in Pac-12 Conference play. The Beavers finished tied for fifth in the Pac-12 standings. Oregon State went 17-9 at home, including a 10-5 record in Pac-12 play. The Beavers are 14-12 in true road games, and 3-1 in neutral-site contests.

Postseason History
Oregon State is making its 20th visit to the postseason since the program's first season in 1907. The Beavers carry a 69-39 (.639) postseason record into the regional. The Beavers are 36-23 (.610) in NCAA Regional games, including a 15-21 (.417) record away from Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. OSU is 31-13 (.705) in NCAA Regional games since the NCAA adopted the current postseason format. 

Against The Fort Worth Regional
Oregon State has limited history with members of the 2021 Fort Worth Regional. The Beavers have played host TCU four times, with the Horned Frogs holding a 3-1 advantage. The teams last played in 2009, also at a Fort Worth Regional, with TCU coming out on top in both games. OSU has split four games with Dallas Baptist, taking 2-of-3 in Corvallis in 2005 and losing to DBU, 7-1, in 2015 in Dallas. Oregon State and McNeese have met just once, in 1991, with the Cowboys winning, 6-5.

Canham In The Postseason
Mitch Canham, the Pat Casey Head Baseball Coach, is making his fourth visit to the postseason at the collegiate level. The former Oregon State catcher helped lead the Beavers to national championships in 2006 and 2007 and a visit to Omaha in 2005. Oregon State went 22-6 (.786) during his career in the postseason. He was named as the 2005 Corvallis Regional Most Outstanding Player and to the 2007 All-College World Series team. His 26 runs batted in from 2005-07 are still an Oregon State career postseason record.

Barney, Gipson Experience In The Postseason
Oregon State assistant coaches Darwin Barney and Ryan Gipson both saw action in the postseason as well. Barney teamed with Canham from 2005-07. He was a part of the 2006 Corvallis and 2007 Charlottesville All-Regional teams as well as the 2007 All-CWS team. His 40 career hits and 19 walks in the postseason remain the OSU standard. Gipson, meanwhile, was a member of the Beavers' 2005 Omaha team and 2006 national title club.

Postseason Experience
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no postseason was played in 2020. Thusly, 16 Beavers on the 2021 roster were with the Beavers during the 2019 season. Eight of those 16 played in at least one game during the Corvallis Regional. Kyler McMahan, Joe Casey, Andy Armstrong, Troy Claunch, Ryan Ober, Kevin Abel, Nathan Burns, Mitchell Verburg, Preston Jones and Jake Mulholland were all members of Oregon State's 2018 national title club.

About The 2021 Schedule
Oregon State was the lone Pac-12 Conference team to play a full 56-game schedule. Twenty-six of those 56 games were played at home. The Beavers, who played 30 games away from home, tallied two 11-day road trips during the season. OSU played the first eight games of the season in Surprise, Ariz., and Phoenix, where the Beavers went 7-1. OSU also played eight straight away from home in late April/early May, going 4-4 versus UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount and UCLA. The Beavers' longest homestand was March 4-24, going a combined 7-4 versus BYU, Oregon, Washington State and Santa Clara.

Numbers Through The Regular Season
Oregon State enters postseason play with a 3.42 earned run average, which ranks first in the Pac-12 and ninth nationally. OSU also recorded a 4.00 ERA in conference only games, which also leads the Pac-12. The Beavers have a .983 overall fielding percentage - first in the Pac-12 and fourth nationally - which improved to .986 in conference play. OSU ended the regular season with a .278 batting average, good for sixth in the league.
