OKLAHOMA CITY - The Bruins saw their 2021 season come to an end on Saturday at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium with a 10-3 loss to Oklahoma.
UCLA (47-7) had nine hits from six different players, as senior Rachel Garcia, junior Kinsley Washington and freshman Maya Brady all had two-hit contests. Garcia struck out seven in 5 1/3 innings of work, while junior Holly Azevedo fanned two in relief.
The Bruins scored first with three in the top of the third, as junior Aaliyah Jordan led off with a single, junior Briana Perez walked and Garcia went the opposite way to right with her 13th home run of the season.
Oklahoma (52-3) rallied with two in both the third and fourth innings to take the lead, adding one in the fifth and five in the sixth to win by seven.
