Jun 18, 2021
Dylan Beavers led the Pac-12 in home runs (18) during a breakout 2021 season en route to earning All-American honors from the NCBWA.

DALLAS – California outfielder Dylan Beavers received yet another postseason honor following his breakout 2021 season, as he was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-America Third Team on Wednesday, the association announced.

Beavers was one of just 17 outfielders across the country to earn a spot on the NCBWA's first, second or third All-America teams. The full first, second and third NCBWA All-America teams can be viewed here.

Beavers, who was recognized as a freshman All-American (second team) by the NCBWA earlier this week, established himself as one of the Pac-12's bright young stars in his first full collegiate season in 2021. An All-Pac-12 First Team selection, Beavers led the conference in home runs (18) at the conclusion of the regular season and slashed .303/.401/.630. The left-handed batter led Cal in multiple statistical categories, including RBI (49), doubles (11), runs (44) and walks (32), and was one of just two Pac-12 players with 10-plus home runs and 10-plus stolen bases at the end of the regular season.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. For more information about the NCBWA, visit www.ncbwa.com.
