Cougar Swimming Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors
RICHMOND, Va. (June 22, 2021) – Washington State women's swimming earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors after posting a 3.72 GPA in the Spring 2021 semester.
Washington State earned the honor for the tenth straight semester including all six under head coach Matt Leach. The Cougars have earned the honor 20 times in program history. WSU's 3.72 team GPA was the highest team semester GPA in Washington State Athletics history.
"Coach Leach led the Cougars to a magical season - both in the pool and the classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Washington State and Athletic Director Chun, President Schulz, and Dr. Nancy Swanger (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 26 women."
In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.
