Utah Swimming and Diving Programs Earn CSCAA Academic Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America honored both of the Utah men's and women's swimming and diving squads on Tuesday, naming Utah as a Scholar All-America team for the 2021 spring semester.

"Coach Dykstra led the Utes through an especially challenging season, and continued to produce winners in the pool and classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Utah and Athletic Director Mark Harlan, President Ruth Watkins, and Dr. Karen Paisley (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 69 men & women."

The Utah women had a combined 3.57 grade point average during the spring to earn the program's 17th-straight CSCAA academic award. The men's swimming and diving team collected a 3.40 grade point average for the spring semester, recording the 16th CSCAA award over the last 17 semesters for the program.

Presented twice annually, the Scholar All-America awards recognize teams achieving a 3.0 or better in the semester. The Scholar All-America team this spring includes 721 teams from 424 institutions. The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week. Utah swimming and diving had 37 student-athletes named to the 2021 Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll (21 men's swim & dive, 16 women's swim & dive).
