The defending Pac-12 women's soccer champions will officially kick off UCLA's 2021-22 school year on Thursday, Aug. 19 with a home match against UC Irvine at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
The Bruins will host a 10-game home schedule in 2021, including games against each of the last two NCAA champions, 2020 champion Santa Clara on Thursday, Sept. 9 and 2019 champion Stanford on Thursday, Oct. 28.
Other marquee games on the schedule include the annual crosstown showdown against USC at Wallis Annenberg Stadium on Friday, Nov. 5 and an Oct. 21 road matchup against Washington, who advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 this past season.
The Bruins will also face two familiar faces on the opposite sideline in non-conference play, taking on Jenny Bindon's LMU Lions on Sept. 5 and Louise Lieberman's San Diego Toreros on Sept. 16 in San Diego. Both programs' head coaches were UCLA assistant coaches under Amanda Cromwell.
UCLA, who returns 30 players from last season's squad that went 13-1-3 overall and 9-1-1 in Pac-12 play, will have 10 of its 11 conference games televised on the Pac-12 Networks, beginning with the conference opener on Sept. 24 at 7pm against Oregon at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. Also on the television schedule are the Aug. 19 season opener against UC Irvine, the Aug. 29 match against Long Beach State, and the Sept. 9 contest against Santa Clara.
The Aug. 19 season opener will be the first UCLA home sporting event open at full capacity in 16 months. Tickets for all games will go on sale in August.
