Ducks Release 2021 Volleyball Schedule

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon released its 2021 volleyball schedule Wednesday, opening its full 30-match season on August 27 at home against Portland State and Santa Clara.
 
Additionally, in accordance with updated state public health guidelines, Matthew Knight Arena will return to full capacity at the start of the season. Oregon will also play 16 matches on the Pac-12 Network, while all home matches that are not televised will be broadcast on the Oregon Live Stream.
 
The announcement of the schedule marks a return to the traditional full slate of conference and nonconference matches in the fall, after the COVID-19 pandemic moved the 2020 season to the spring and consisted of a conference-only regular season. The Ducks will play 10 nonconference matches before opening their 20-match Pac-12 schedule on Sept. 22 at home against Oregon State.
 
Oregon's nonconference schedule is highlighted by the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge, which we be played at Matthew Knight Arena, Sept. 10-11. The Ducks will take on Penn State on Sept. 10 and Minnesota on Sept. 11. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m. Stanford joins the other three teams in the field and will play at 4 p.m. both days.
 
The Ducks will play nine of the other Pac-12 schools twice this season, only playing Arizona and Arizona State once each. After hosting Oregon State to begin the conference season, the Ducks head on the road for three matches before a four-match homestand against the Bay Area and Washington schools, Oct. 8-17. Oregon hosts California (Oct. 8) and Stanford (Oct. 10) before welcoming 2020 Final Four team and defending Pac-12 champions Washington to MKA on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. The Ducks close out the home swing against another NCAA Tournament team in Washington State on Oct. 17 at 12 p.m.
