Women's Volleyball Announces 2021 Schedule

LOS ANGELES - UCLA women's volleyball has announced its fall 2021 schedule. The 28-match slate features 20 Pac-12 Conference contests, eight non-conference affairs and 14 matches televised on Pac-12 Networks.

Specific details regarding health and safety protocols at indoor events, including women's volleyball matches, will be announced at a later date.

Just 136 days after the conclusion of the spring 2021 season, the Bruins will be back on the court on Sunday, Aug. 29 at UC Davis at 2 p.m. UCLA will then drive down the 405 to Long Beach State for a three-day tournament. The Bruins will take on the host team on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m., Portland State on Friday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. and Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m.

The non-conference schedule continues the following weekend in San Diego on the campus of USD, as the Bruins play San Diego on Friday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. and San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. Regular-season, non-conference action concludes in Indianapolis when UCLA takes on host team Butler on Friday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. PT and Milwaukee on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. PT.

The first three matches of Pac-12 play will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, including the conference opener against USC at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Following the rivalry matchup, the Bruins embark on a three-match road swing, starting with televised matches at Stanford (Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m.) and Washington (Friday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m.) and wrapping up with a non-TV contest at Washington State (Sunday, Oct. 3).

The Bruins return to Pauley on Friday, Oct. 8 (8 p.m.) with a televised match against Colorado, concluding the weekend with a non-TV affair versus Utah on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. Seven of the next eight matches will be aired on Pac-12 Networks, including a road trip at Arizona (Friday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.) and at Arizona State (Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.). 

UCLA opens up a four-match homestand on Friday, Oct. 22 (7 p.m.) against Oregon before hosting a non-TV contest versus Oregon State (Sunday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m.). The homestand concludes with televised contests against Washington State (Friday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.) and Washington (Sunday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m.).

The November slate opens with road televised contests at Utah (Friday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. PT) and at Colorado (Sunday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. PT). Following a non-TV match at Oregon State (Friday, Nov. 12), the Bruins conclude a four-match road trip on Pac-12 Networks on Sunday, Nov. 14 at Oregon. 

The Bruins will be in Los Angeles for the final four matches of the 2021 fall campaign against Arizona State (Friday, Nov. 19), Arizona (Sunday, Nov. 21), California (Wednesday, Nov. 24) and USC (Friday, Nov. 26). The contests against ASU and at USC will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.

The NCAA Tournament begins Friday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 4 with the First and Second Rounds, continues Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11 with Regionals and concludes on Thursday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 18 with the National Semifinals and Championship in Columbus, Ohio.
