Tratz Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors
Pac-12 Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year Pauline Tratz has another academic award to add to her mantle, earning first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District® honors.
Tratz, a senior from Karlsruhe, Germany, holds a 3.88 cumulative GPA in Communication Studies. She is a three-time WCGA Scholastic All-American, a three-time Pac-12 academic honoree, and a winner of UCLA's Athletic Director's Academic Excellence Award, given to student-athletes who have made the Director's Honor Roll every quarter at UCLA.
An important scorer for the Bruins since her freshman year, Tratz helped UCLA win the 2018 NCAA team championship and the 2018 and 2019 Pac-12 team titles. She also won the NCAA Columbus Regional vault title as a freshman. As a senior in 2021, she hit every routine she competed, recording season-highs of 9.950 on floor exercise, 9.875 on vault and 9.775 on uneven bars. Tratz won a share of the 2021 Pac-12 floor championship and earned All-Pac-12 honors on floor exercise twice in her career. She will be returning to the Bruins in 2022 for a fifth season.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot, with the Academic All-America® teams announced in early August.
