Assistant Coach Nicole Levy To Play Professionally With Athletes Unlimited
BOULDER — University of Colorado assistant lacrosse coach Nicole Levy will spend five weeks playing professional lacrosse for Athletes Unlimited, which is in its first year as a professional league for lacrosse, softball and volleyball.
"I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to continue my career at this level," Levy said. "I believe playing alongside such incredible talent will better me as both a player as well as a coach!"
A standout attacker at Syracuse, Levy graduated in 2019 with 222 career points, which was 10th in program history. She also recorded 81 assists (eighth in school history) and 141 goals. She was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List three times, earned all-region honors four times (twice on the first team and twice on the second team) and was selected to the All-ACC second team as a senior.
The 2021 season will start on July 23 and will run for five weeks. There will be four teams: Orange, Gold, Blue and Purple. Each team will play three games a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and upon the conclusion of each weekend of play, the teams will be mixed up, giving athletes a chance to play with and against different athletes.
