Kirkland, McDuffie, Otton Named To Athlon All-America Team

Three Washington football players – Jaxson Kirkland, Trent McDuffie and Cade Otton – have been named to Athlon Sports' preseason All-America football team.

Kirkland, a junior offensive tackle from Portland, Ore., was named to the second team, while both McDuffie and Otton made the fourth team.

All three of these players were named to the officlal 2021 preseason All-Pac-12 first team, revealed yesterday at the opening of Pac-12 Media Day.

Kirkland has been named to several other preseason All-America teams and was on the Outland Trophy watch list. McDuffie, a sophomore defensive back from Westminster, Calif., is on the watch lists for the Jim Thorpe Award, Chuck Bednarik Award and Bronko Nagurski Award. Otton, a junior tight end from Tumwater, Wash., is a watch list honoree for the John Mackey Award.
